Brihaspati - Tara - Moon

Once came a time when Brihaspati was busy performing various Yagnas (sacrifices) for the devatas. Most Yagnas demanded a stay for months in the Yagna Vatika (place where Yagna is conducted).

Brihaspati's wife is Tara, while Moon was a student of Brihaspati.

While Brihaspati was away, Moon checked up on Tara – if she needed anything, as Brihaspati was away.

Tara got carried away by Moon's looks and eloped with Moon.

Brihaspati came home and got to know this. However, Tara became pregnant and delivered Mercury.

Brihaspati raised this child as his student. Mercury always wanted to prove himself better than Jupiter – hated both Moon and Jupiter.

Jupiter did not hate Moon but hated Mercury after Mercury has grown up and started hating him.

Jupiter is considered the most knowledgeable amongst all planets, while Mercury tries to imitate Jupiter and is very curious to learn new things.

Sita Devi - Rama's Wife

Sita is the daughter of Bhoomata (Land). Earth element – will lead to prosperity. Most prosperous.

Sita was following dharma and made many sacrifices in life.

She got separated from husband for sometime due to abduction.

She reunited with Rama and lived happily ever again.

She raised kids away from their father.

Although she was the princess of 2 kingdoms and the queen (after Dasharatha's death), she lived in poverty in middle age. However, she lived in Kanchana lanka – full of gold. She did not touch anything.

This represents the theme of Pushyami - making sacrifices for the greater good, nourishing others while sometimes living in simplicity oneself.
