Kadruva – is another wife, who is the mother of Snakes.
They were jealous of each other.
They were playing games and betting against each other. The one who loses has to be the slave of the other.
Kadruva wanted a win by hook or crook, cheated Vinata. Vinata became a slave of Kadruva.
Vinata gave birth to two eggs, while Kadruva gave birth to thousands of eggs.
The eggs of Kadruva started to break and many snakes started coming out.
Vinata was jealous about having kids, are broke one of her two eggs.
Out of the egg, came out Anooruva (one with no thighs) and cursed his mother for breaking her egg early and making him crippled. He was a very strong man and later became the chariot rider of Sun.
The second son of Vinata, is Garuda – who was instrumental in getting Vinata out of slavery.
