Timing Marriage in Vedic Astrology

Master the art of accurate marriage timing using two powerful dasa systems - Vimsottari Dasa and Kala Chakra Dasa with D1 and D9 chart analysis.

It is always important to use at least 2 dasa systems to get a proper timing for marriage. We are using Vimsottari and Kala Chakra here, both of which are highly recommended by Parashara Maharshi.

1. Vimsottari Dasa Variation for Timing Marriage:

A) Moon’s Position and Vimshottari Variation in D1

Based on Moon’s Position from Lagna in Rashi Chart – select the Vimshottari Dasha variation given below. Use Jagannatha Hora (on Windows) and Jyotish (on Android) for selecting Vimshottari Variations. Sometimes, this works on Bhava Chart.

Janma Tara Kshema Tara Utpanna Tara Aadhana Tara
Moon in 1,4,7,10,5,9 from lagna Moon in 2, 6 from lagna Moon in 3, 11 from lagna Moon in 8, 12 from lagna

B) Qualifiers

Use Vimshottari Dasha variation as explained above. Vimshothari Maha Dasha and Antar Dasha can be of planet from the following Qualifiers

From D1 From D9 From D9 - based on Lagna
1) Planet lording or placed in 9th house 1) Any Planet placed in 1,7,9 {common for all lagnas} Lagna is a Movable sign:
1) Planets placed in Trines from Lagna
2) Rahu or Ketu if placed in 1st / 7th house 2) Any planet in Directional strength Lagna is a Fixed sign:
1) Planets placed in Trines from 7th house
3) Planet in own sign in 7th house 3) Any planet in Vargottama. Lagna is a Movable sign:
1) Planets placed in Trines from Jupiter and Mercury. 7th lord takes precedence.
    In all the above cases:
1) When there are no planets in respective trines as mentioned above, locate planets in trines from 7th lord.

Important Note:

  • Any Qualifier planet from D1 and D9 will qualify as both MD and AD lord. When a planet qualifies more than once, it becomes a strong contender. It will give the marriage in its MD / AD.

2. Kala Chakra Dasha for Timing Marriage

Use Kala Chakra Dasha as recommended by SM Singh (Shakti Mohan Singh). This is available only in Jagannatha Hora (Windows only), not on Android.

1) Both Maha Dasha and Antar Dasha are qualified from the below table

2) Use D1 chart for Maha Dasha and D9 Chart from Antar Dasha. Rules are the same.

3) Rahu-Ketu placed in 1-7 axis is a qualifier for the Maha Dasha / Antar Dasha.

1, 7, 9 Lords 1, 7 Lords
Any of the 2 from the above are conjoined, mutually aspecting, interchanging positions. Both the above lords are placed in Signs owned by a single planet. For example, 1st lord placed in Libra and 7th lord placed in Taurus - qualify since both are ruled by Venus.

Please note that, in this context, planets placed in Taurus, Leo and Cancer are ruled by Sun & Moon both. Taurus is the Moola Trikona of Moon. So, 1st lord placed in Taurus and 7th lord placed in Leo also qualifies the Maha Dasha / Antar Dasha.
